Hey all I have an 06 DC 4x4 non-lsd and while driving in 2wd the other day 4hi and 4lo lights on the button selector and the dash started blinking. Problem resolved after stopping the car and turning it off/on, however I’m nervous about 4wd engagement now since I use 4wd regularly to go fishing. Any ideas? No other lights were showing.

    thanks!

Engage 4wd and see how it goes.

Go under and inspect/clean/check for loose hoses at the actuators (front diff and transfer case).

4 hi lights and 4 lo engaging is a sure sign of too much mall crawling not enough fishing. Bubba wants to work.

Turns out the front diff actuator was stuck due to corrosion. New actuator and it works like a charm. -$500 plus labor ouch! Still cheaper than a new truck tho.

Don’t forget to exercise your 4x4 buttons on a weekly basis. Keeps the cobwebs away!
