Does anyone had observed that the "4H" "4L" lights gone blinking in yellow after shifting from "2H" to "4H" and turning the steering all the way to the right?

It blinks while it's trying to engage the transfer case. Drive straight until it fully engages.

This happened to me. I believe I was in reverse when it happened. It wouldn’t go into 4WD. I had to shut the truck off. I then got a notification to take it to a Toyota dealer for some error associated with the drive train. After restarting it worked fine. I think my issue was putting in 4WD while in reverse. I haven’t tried to recreate the issue

My concern was that the "4H" "4L" lights went blinking while riding in "4H" for a while, after making a turn with the steering wheel completely to the right. In my particular situation, Toyota did not approved any guarantee in the axles because they claim that my suspension system is modified because of installing a Ready Lift 3-inch SST. So I am afraid of a very uphill struggle for claiming an evaluation of problems in the differential.

Probably not a great idea to turn the wheel all the way to one side or the other when engaged in 4wd. Especially if you’re not in a situation like snow, mud or sand.

I had blinking lights same as the OP, but for a different reason. 2023 CrewMax 6.5’ bed Limited TRD OR. I switched into 4H and after 30s the 4H and 4L lights started flashing and got a “call the dealer” message that would not go away. I turned off the truck once I got where I was going and restarted it. Lights were off and truck switched into 4H just fine.

My suspicion is that I drove the night before in warm slushy snow and it dropped to 25 overnight. Before the truck really warmed up, some mechanical switch was still frozen enough that it wouldn’t actuate until the truck was more warmed up.

Long story short, I won’t be going to the dealer if this happens again (just turn it off and on again) and I’m annoyed that it won’t reset while the car is running… I can’t exactly power off the car just to reset some flashing lights. Coming from a 2003 Tundra, that truck would flash lights if the 4wd didn’t successfully engage, but you’d put the switch back to 2wd and wait a sec and try again and it would be fine. This one screams like a child that stubbed their toe and thinks they need to go to the hospital.

The message “call your dealer” adds insult to injury. I don’t trust my dealer to be able to inspect it without doing more damage while taking something apart to inspect it.
