Hello everyone. Just found the original sticker for the tundra I purchased. It is a price of 45K and change. Is it normal that I just paid 40 K plus tax on my used 2019 TRD sport? Is that a normal number or did I get totally screwed?

The market varies by region but you're good. Not much you can do about it now lol. Get some cat protection plates on order if you haven't done it yet.

Move on OP, what’s done is done. Don’t waste precious time looking back… The market is simply ridiculous at the moment. Just go out and enjoy it!

Screwed is relative. 2 years ago yes in today's market no. You will only feel it if you sell in a few years when market is back to normal. The longer you keep it the lower the pain.

    I just paid 51k for a 2018 1794 with 34k miles...

I have seen the prices all over the place and 40k for a 2019 (you don't mention the miles) is not unusual.

I think with the release of the 2022 and the issues it is having, the market is going to be a bit high for 5.7 V8 Tundras.

Depends, did you need a truck right now or could you have done with out one? If you needed it right now then not much you could do but to buy one. The market is crazy. If you just bought it because you wanted one, then yes, you got screwed. And as for your 4 year plan, I would say good luck. This market is on it way down. More and more people are realizing or are running out of money and car sales are falling fast. I get a call from my dealer once a month asking about my tundra. I also got a call for my wife’s Lexus, they wanted around $670 for a NX lease. Her current lease is $400. I told the sales guy no one in their right mind would pay $670 to lease a NX, he agreed and knew I wasn’t one of those with more money than brains. But like others have said, what’s done is done. Enjoy your truck.

That’s a gorgeous truck with low miles! Definitely look into those catalytic converter shields in NYC. The Bronx has been getting hit real hard with that…

Well I do need it because my truck is going back I had a Silverado 1500 and the buyout is a few bucks less than buying my tundra which to me a Toyota is way better than the Silverado and they were compatible in everything… both had 14,000 miles and 2019‘s. I used to always lease but like you said the leasing prices are insane so I’m forced to buy which I hate to put this money upfront ….. Dodge are going from 520 a month with taxes upfront and nothing spectacular

Nice truck! 14k miles, Bed cover, running boards, TRD package. That went have went for at least $40k here in VA. Your truck looks NEW!

Some examples of what was on sale at take it or leave it prices:

    All were CrewMaxes
    2018 TRD Limited 80k miles $40k
    2020 Limited 50k miles $50k
    2019 1794 45k miles $50k
2018 1794 34k miles scratched up bed, smelled like weed on the inside $45k (would not budge on the price!)
    etc...

I considered new as it would have only have been an additional $10k or so, but did not want to deal with the first year turbo/wastegate issue.

This mine, $51k clean as a whistle, you could eat off the engine. Best "deal" out of all the Tundra's I test drove.

I just bought a 2019 limited TRD package (not pro) for 39k with 84k miles and am happy about it. These will easily do a million miles if you do (correct) maintenance.

Use Toyota or Mobile 1, and use 0w-20, not 5w-20, Toyota engineers are fairly smart…

Super low miles. Dbl cab with TRD sport package. You got a good deal OP. As said before, 2 years ago, you got robbed, keep it for 2 years you'll forget all about it. Crew Max is the more popular option, but double cabs have their fans. Just need to find the right buyer for resale in a couple of years. If you had a CM with 14k and paid $40k I'd suggest you go into hiding as you stole it, but that's still a good price for a DC. Enjoy the truck!

Just an FYI, the 5.7 can use from 0w-20 to 15w-40.
