Hello, I am a newb here with Toyota Tundra. I have picked up my new 2018 Tundra and would like to do a lift kit. I have had fords most of my life and they have been diesel. Last truck I had a 2.5 leveling kit from ready lift stage 2 with rubber spacers. Rode like crap!!! I need help on picking and lift! I only pull a 7-8000 pondtoon boat.

As do I , TBH, for what I do, it's ok, but if you do a lot of off roading, a spacer lift is not the way to go IMHO, if your do lots off roading or towing maybe some rear air bags??? Or some Coach Builder shackles, I have a RC 6" kit, it looks great, but it's a stiff ride AF, bouncing around a lot on hwy at higher speeds, do some research, or other members will chime in with better advise, good luck

I don’t want my cv to be at a bad angle. On my research I found that I can get a 6 inch RC and add new struts up. Like I said don’t want to do spacers. It will be my daily truck. Any running the 4 or 6 inch with spacers?

Thanks. Do have spacers? Air bags will be next on the list after the lift. I will take all the advice I can get on this. This is my first gas truck in 20-25 years. Really don’t know what I need to make it ride smooth, pull my boat, and look mean or to do 4 or 6 inch to pull my boat. Thanks for the help.

I bought the Tundra used, it came with the lift kit, ran Vin# dealer had it done, then saw that the rear cross member wasn't cut as per instructions from RC website, cause it shows that the RCM needs to be cut at both ends, but I went to the shop where dealer sent and the tech told me that the kit I have is a older version and didn't require the RCM to be cut, other option I have that RC does is they have these extended struts and I can remove the front spacers

So the extended struts are better than Spacers? I have a 24 pondtoon with a 115 motor on it. As for the pic of my ride. I will figure it how to post them. Going to tent the windows this weekend. Thanks for the help!

If you're not big into off-roading I think the spacer lift would be fine. Unless you have a ton of extra weight on your pontoon it's probably not as heavy as you may think.

I pull a 20' competition ski boat every weekend all spring and summer with mine and have zero problems.

Prostar you have a 6 inch RC? I don’t go off road mainly on the road. Heard that the spacers are really rough and not good for long term.

The truck still rides like a truck-truck now that am on. 6 inch RC. I changed the front bricks to RC shocks to get a more gentler ride. I also went from 65psi to 45psi, and did notice a difference.

The CV is at an angle, and about 9 months after lift, I replaced both front wheel bearings, plus axle seal - piece of cake and getting intimate.

Short of that, I get more compliments than anything else.

    Go Blue, or go home.......
