had a tree fall on my property not a big one brought my 2014 tundra there put it in 4 hi then neutral then 4 lo pulled tree no issues
Put truck in neutral then 4 hi made the clunk like it shifted put in drive made a noise then pulled like normal put it back in 2wd and went back to the house. Went to try again just to make sure all was working properly truck went in and out of 4 hi to 2wd perfect went to 4 lo and took longer then usual finally went into 4 lo. Now it will not shift into 4 hi 4 hi just blinks and acts like the truck is in neutral i can get it back in 4 lo but thats it. Can't go into 2wd 4 hi anything but 4 low tried pulling battery cable to reset it tried bumping the actuator with a hammer tried to rock the truck but it just threw a engine light and traction control any one have any idea whats going on?

Can you drive it in 4-lo for a few feet? Then shift in Neutral, let go of brake pedal, then shift to 4 hi.

Yeah first thing I checked thinking I ripped one they all look good. Feels like it is in 2wd now and 4hi just keeps blinking

I'm having the same issue, but it's very sporadic. Need to get my transfer case serviced. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the 4wd actuator. Just don't know and I'm hoping someone out there has the answer.

Put it back to 4hi to make sure it completed the process. Once it gets to 4hi and the light stops blinking, put it to 2wd.

    Give the system some time.

We had a guy stuck in 4lo out on the trail.
    Disconnect the battery, wait 15/20.
Engine on, Neutral, foot off brake to unload system.
Foot on brake, switch to 4hi.

Had similar issues and found slightly turning back and forth while slowly moving forward enabled the 4hi to disengage more frequently then if I didn't turn wheel...the 4lo part is interesting... I think you just need to use it more once you get it back to normal operations...isn't it like once a month th to use actuator? I know that's the case for 4runners...

    So, stuck in 4hi.
Engine on, drive - go straight (NO turning), straight, and switch out of 4hi and continue driving straight.

Went probably 15 miles on the highway by the house straight no luck once I got it in 4 hi I was hoping that would get it out of 4hi but didn't work.
I've tried the turning and going forward and backwards while in my pasture no luck there either
I normally put it in 4 every few weeks just because some of the places my lil girl barrel races at gets slick. Side note I hate electronic 4wd I love my t100 manual 4 on the floor lol

What would happen if you disconnected the actuator and drove

Not sure. In theory I'm assuming the transfer case would still be locked in 4wd?

if it wasn't for having to go to work a week from Tuesday I wouldn't be as stressed. Since my other truck is down for a motor swap soon and a motorcycle won't be a fun ride for going 6 hours

Correct phone under that same assumption but what if that somehow resets the positioning once you reconnected after moving

Yeah I trapped it few times and idk if that's what helped it get out of 4 low or not or if that was just a stroke of luck

My 07 has to be moving to shift it into 4hi. Something like 15 mph to 30 mph, keeping wheels straight, and just before turning switch let foot off the gas. At least that s what a Toyota service manager told me.

So crawling around under it this morning I popped the solenoid a few times heard something move but no luck....tried unplugging it and it caused 4hi and 4 lo to flash. Plugged it all back and pulled battery to see what happens next

Using the 75w. I spent like a week reading to make sure that was correct before I changed the fluid.
But update got my wooden handle hammer and had my girlfriend sit in the truck and move the switch from 2wd to 4wdhi and tapped with the wooden part on the acutaor and all. Finally heard a noise like something shifted jumped up and looked at the dash truck was still flashing 4 hi while in 2wd selection. So back under the truck I said screw it and tried unplugging the three plugs that go to that actuator solenoid on the transfer case 4lo,4hi start flashing at the same time plugged it back in and pulled the battery for 5 mins, reconnected and started truck in 2wd and heard some noises and it was in 2wd went up and down the highway everything seems good. Swapped back and forth to 4wd hi and no issues swaps easy just like new haven't done 4lo yet but at least have some progress
