Any ideas what issue could be on 2010 Tundra with 4 HI blinking and traction control light on. Have tried to reset and no luck clearing. Do not see any wiring broken but haven’t taken anything apart yet.

I'm not a mechanic or anything, but from what I've read, the sensors that figure out the transfer positioning can get 'lost'. Apparently this requires a jumper to the actuator motor to position things back into alignment.

This is something along the lines of a best-case scenario from what I gather about correcting this problem, I hope it's nothing more serious! That or hopefully someone's got an ideal, easy turnkey solution that's even easier than this.

Thanks, it drives fine, just aggravating, been like this for 6 months. My teenage son drives it, probably a little harder than I would or did. Truck just starting to show it age I guess. I was just hoping it would be something inexpensive to repair.

Well if it's what I suspect initially, that's an easy fix, literally just a 12v battery connected to two wires by the actuator motor. Would be worth the few minutes invested in it, if so!

First post on this link has a list compiled of dash light combinations and the usual suspects for what the problem actually is. I used it to diagnose my truck that had 4hi flashing with traction control and ABS lights solidly illuminated. Chart said most likely an ABS sensor or wiring. I was able to hook it up to a friends’s scanner and it read Front Left Wheel Speed Sensor. After examining the sensor and harness, I found a very small nick in the wire on the harness with some corrosion forming. Could have been from me being not careful with brakes or suspension parts, the tire guys rotating tires, or Bambi head butting the front corner of the truck. Who knows. But I was able to locate and fix the problem easily with help from this document that another user compiled.
