I am all diy, learning on the fly from YouTube videos, and I am a keyboard warrior for my day job so take it easy plz…

Old system was 2 10” slim mount subs that was OK but I blew Amp and smoked subs

my objective was to fit as many full size 12s without modifying the rear seat track and mount system.

fyi I have large family and have been waiting for my wife to get a new vehicle to become the official family vehicle, thus allowing me to modify my truck to be able to transport family when needed but realistically it’s very rare now.

    4 kicker 12s

Kicker 1800.1 amp flush mounted under center rear seat, set in a way that I can access adjustment knobs.

alpine 4 channel flush mounted under front passenger dash

hertz components in doors and dash

up to 3 layers of soundproofing material of entire cab except for doors and front floorboard/firewall yet

expanding spray foam in all cracks and crevices

When driving it is absolutely silent inside my truck which is almost creepy feeling. I assume luxury cars are silent like this but I don’t know any luxury car owners so idk for sure

I wanted to do a perfectly rectangular box AKA 90*angles only bc 45s etc are harder for me but I know I can fit 6 12s if I build a more efficient box but I’d need a new amp etc

the big 3/4 was done in an effort to allow me to off-road and keep connections dry as possible, not so much for asthetics

I guess yall can see that while my interior was out for sound proofing I went ahead and painted everything flat textured black as well as wrap pieces in black suede

but all that was secondary to the audio upgrade.

    it’s stupid loud btw

Good question and I don’t really know as i am around the central FL area and don’t experience temperature drops like everyone else does

Nice job man! I am jealous as well. Wish I could fit 4 12's in this 2021 Tundra CM. I am barely going to be able to fit this one JL 12W3 in here. I'm doing my install today, but this damn weather is putting me on hold. I too am in Central Florida.

    To add….

the back cab wall I spray foamed a couple times to fill it tight.
I put some wood and 2x4’s and then used spreading clamps to push the wood up against the back wall as hard as possible while I filled in everything including the bottom open cavity. Then I let it set overnight, dry, and do the same thing the next day.

i wrapped the wood in aluminum foil so it wouldn’t stick to the expanding foam and pull off when I remove the wood.

I made sure I still have ventilation and water drainage holes in the cab and rear wall but I still put about 8 cans of spray foam throughout the truck including filling the A B C pillars. It might float at this point but don’t wanna test it.

Yes, the rear windshield still rolls down NP but I haven’t turned it all the way up with the glass inside the rear wall bc I don’t want it to break, as it wabbles enough in the upright position

This is the backside of front bench seat center seat. I spray foam and soundproofed and restrained anything that I thought would rattle
