howdy, anyone own a 3rd gen that has disconnected their dash speakers? I have read some folks say that the Tundra audio system sounds better without the dash speakers. Can anyone chime in on this topic?

    thank you

If I'm not mistaken your phone call audio comes thru these speakers. on my 2015 Limited I replaced the ones on the corners with full range Kickers from Crutchfield which worked great and will be doing the same on my 2020 Platinum. On the JBL systems, not sure on the SR5 models all three dash speakers along with the two at the same height in the doors all all tweeters and yep it's quite harsh.
