So, I got a Bambu X1C with an AMS for christmas and I have been printing non-stop since then. I wanted to share 3 of the best models that I have printed. If you have ever seen the TV series The Expanse, then you will recognize these ships.

Deimos - Orion Class Heavy Frigate:
    • 23.5" long
    • 4.3 pounds
    • 250 parts
    • 200 hour print time
    • 20 hour part clean up and assembly time
    • 5 turrets and 14 missile launchers

Rocinante - Corvette Class Light Frigate:
    • 20" long
    • 3 pounds
    • 230 parts
    • 150 hour print time
    • 18 hour part clean up and assembly time
    • 6 turrets

Scorpio - Morrigan Class Patrol Destroyer:
    • 14" long
    • 1.6 pounds
    • 120 parts
    • 60 hour print time
    • 10 hour part clean up and assembly time
    • 2 turrets

All 3 ships are in the same scale. Here they all are together:

The 3D modeler of these ships has authored more ships from The Expanse, but to match the scale of these three ships, they would be just way too big. If I were to print the largest ship, it would take 400 hours, it would weigh 24 pounds, it would be 6.5 feet long, and the filament cost would be over $200 with an entire roll worth of filament wasted due to the supports, the purges, and the prime towers. I don't know where I would display that :)

    Thanks for looking :)

    I liked the first season.

After that I could only hear "Da Beltahs" so much.
