Hey guys! 24 Limited Wescott 3/1 TRD lift with 37s.

Small issue ive noticed while driving now with 37s is sometimes when taking a turn the traction control kicks in and flashes but im not going really fast or driving hard. Like if i go under the freeway to make a U-turn and come in with a little speed and go to get back on gas sometimes it will kick in the traction control.

It just seems a little excessive for it to kick in that much. Unless Toyota's TC is that sensitive. Only thing i can say caused it was the lift and tires. I know i can just turn off the traction control but dont want to do that every time. Its honestly not a big deal as i drive like a grandpa most of the time. Just wanted to see if others with 37s experince something similar?

This is in normal driving mode, not 4x4, not sport or tow....

I'm willing to bet it has more to do with the suspension or alignment than the tires. Possible the angles of everything in the front end are binding enough to break traction, especially when making a turn. Did you replace the UCAs when you did the wescott kit?

Have you done a "Zero Point Calibration" since changing to the 37's? If not, that should help

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
Back in the day after lifting a Tundra you did a ZPC (zero point calibration). On the 3rd gens factory TRD lift there is also a recalibration, probably start there.

I believe they set the alignment to the specs that was recommended by Wescott but who knows is that’s accurate. I printed the Wescott alignment specs and gave it to them when installed.

I did not change upper control arms as it’s not necessary with the kit I got.

Not sure what a zero point calibration is?

I can't help you directly with your problem but in my opinion the Tundra traction control is a little too intrusive.
