I am currently running 295/60/20 tires paired with 20X9 +1 wheels. The tires rub on the fender liner and body mount. I do plan on doing a CMC/BMC and adding bumper shims to help solve the issue. So my question is if i keep the 11.5” width profile but go up to a 35” tall tire, will it clear with the modfications?
*Lift setup is currently a 3/1 btw*

    thank you

    Are you lifted or leveled?

No way , with +1 offset. Will fit fender wells , but turning radius is greatly reduced.

35s will fit on a stock Tundra, wheel fitment is key here. 20x9+1 is not going to help, but is still possible. You're going to need the BMC with that offset. Your current lift wont change if it rubs, unless you're a driver that never goes off road.

IFS vehicles compress and extend to the same terminal position. So if it will rub, it wont matter if youre lifted assuming youre not doing a sub frame lift too.

Basically, youre good, just get the BMC.

What if i do the BMC/CMC along with bumper shims?

So BMC will clear the 35’s with the +1 offset?

Yes, as you mentioned you'll also have to either trim the front bumper fender liner, remove the liner, or put on bumper spacers.

Greatly reduced, no, marginally yes. Have run all sorts of stances on all sorts of vehicles. Switched from the 18x8 +50 Pro wheels to the 17x8.5 +25 Icons, increased total track width by +2.5" and noticed no difference in turning radius.

Perks to increasing track width though, the wider stance will allow for a better weight transfer from side to side, the vehicle will corner flatter and have more grip. These arent sports cars though, adding 2-3" of wheel/tire diameter and adding 10-30lbs of weight wont make the truck feel any better. Kind of the pay to play concept.

Do bumper shims drastically adjust the bumper positions or no?

I never ran them, they move it foward like .5" which is enough. You wouldnt notice unless someone told you though. My opinion might not be the most popular, but its the cheapest, just take them out. They dont provide any support, the liner there is used to cover the fog light area. But if you're really worried throw some dielectric grease in the fog light plugs and wrap'em with electricians tape. Gotta think about it though, guys with tube bumpers are running exposed all day long, typically running them in dirtier and dustier places than your typical street truck.

If you take them out and decide later you dont feel comfortable with them out then just order the bumper shims.
