I like these, but I use my bumper as a bump stop so I'd be afraid of cracking the light bar.

    Function before sparkle.
If you have decided on location, choose a bar based on needed light output rather than looks.

However I personally think no bar looks great in that location. Gives the truck buck teeth. But it’s the best hidden mounting locations available for general use.

42” for me. If you’re gonna put something in that gap might as well fill it. I’m planning on getting that same DD light bar. Always been satisfied with their products.

When you mounted the light bar did you have to buy a special mount or did the mounts that came with the light bar work? Did you just screw it down to the aluminum bumper support?

RC 30" in the valence. Kit came with everything - light bar, brackets, and wiring. I tapped the switch into the one in the hood bulge which I had done previously.

Any other options that you guys have found for a full length 42in bar that doesn’t cost as much as the diode dynamics one that comes with the brackets too? Potentially an Amazon bar?

Let Rey spend your money.

I went with a el cheapo Amber 32” in that lower grille. Works as intended for me. Mounted up with the CaliRaisedLED brackets.

30” BD OnX6 in the bumper slot for me. 40” BD S8 in the hood bulge.

The 30” OnX6 runs circles around the S8…
