Curious to know more detailed specs of the 3.4 TT. It’s an all aluminum 24 valve vvt-i with dual variable valve timing..? Twin turbo, obviously assuming one for each bank of cylinders ?
Wondering if anyone knows if turbos are making any boost right from idle ? They work in parallel creating identical boost to both banks ? Would be interested in seeing HP/TQ curve in relation to rpm, throttle opening and load. Just wondering if anyone is aware of more technical specifications…

Do any turbos do that? Turbos require exhaust gas in large volumes to produce boost. At idle, with no load on the engine, not enough exhaust gas is being produced, In any engine. Even if you cranked the idle up, with no load on the engine, still not enough exhaust gas. Since the Tundra uses s-medium sized turbos, they will spool up quickly and produce boost at a lower rpm than a larger turbo would, but you are probably looking at 1200-1500rpm before you start to get the boost.
