Ok guys I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't find a thread so if you know of a good one post it!

    I have a '16 Tundra that's getting the 3/1 ReadyLift. The wheels I want are 20x10 with -25mm offset and 4.5" backspacing.

I want to go with a 33x12.5"(or something comparable doesn't have to be exactly 33x12.5).

My issue is half the shops say DONT DO IT IT'LL RUB, and the others say YOUR FINE GO FOR IT.

So what's the real answer from someone that's actually got this setup? Rubbage or no?

    Thanks!

I don't have that setup, but I feel confident in saying a -25 offset will require trimming...that's an awfully aggressive stance. Depending on tire size, I believe trimming is required pretty much starting at +18. Maybe the 33" wheel will eliminate or reduce the rubbing, but a 33" wheel may seem a little small on a 3/1 lift.

@louscrw you're exactly right. 33's are a little small for the lift.... BUT with the aggressive stance there's no way a could clear a 35 like most guys run. I'd rather go short and wide opposed to tall and skinny.

My original plan was a 20x12 on a 33" tire but not only am I having trouble finding them in the wheel I want, but I'm also thinking I won't be able to turn with only 3" of lift.... hence the point of this post.

Thanks and keep the suggestions coming!

I'd be inclined to say it'll rub quite a bit with that negative of an offset.

Dude just go +18 and get a 35" tire or you'll kick yourself in the ass for not doing it right in the first place.

@Sean266 I appreciate the advice but my style is a little different than the generic tundra on 35's. Everyone has their own taste and I agree, mine may not be the most favorable out there but hey, that's why it's my truck .

Anyways thanks for the comment I'll keep that +18 and 35's in mind just in case my plan falls through!

Yes. 305/55/20 which is 33.39/12.63/20 on 20X9 +18 offset. I had to do some adjusting to stop rubbing. Yours will be around 2 inches farther out.

@TNTundra08 thanks for the info, what exactly did you "adjust" to get clearance?

Just a guess here...but, with the +1, you'll probably have to do a BMC and possibly remove the fender linder completely

The front plastic. Unscrew them, push it as far as possible screw it back in. I probabaly gained 2 inches of room
