I've been shopping around for some catbacks and saw that some are for 2009-2021 but others are only for 2014-2021. Is there any difference between the routing or possibly size or even hanger placement between the 2nd gen and the 2.5 gen tundras?

    Welcome to the forum.

@dirtydeeds is the best option for aftermarket Tundra exhaust.
Many of us have one of Keith's systems.
They are direct bolt-on to existing OEM pipes.
He is also a forum sponsor.

Standard Exhaust System - Dirty Deeds Industries

I've had an 8", 10" and currently a 12" BAM, running it with his resonator.
The 12 is perfect for this old man..

He is having a Halloween sale right now until 11/15.
His sales are the best time to buy, especially with $50 shipping.

Call the phone number below, discuss your wants and needs (towing, loudness level wanted, etc.) and Keith will advise you on what you need.
He will also answer ANY questions you might have, exhaust and suspension..
His customer service is second to none..

I know about dirty deeds I've been eyeing the budget system and the 6 inch. Its as loud as i want but not nearly as deep and throaty. I'm also more so just curious about the exhaust differences

Dirty Deeds is the clear choice to make. Keith has done his homework to design a functional exhaust without "drone". Give him a call, explain your situation and he'll get you taken care of. He's a busy man so be patient waiting for his return call, he WILL respond. IMO, don't waste your time/money on another system only to be dissatisfied. I just installed his 6" BAM Stainless steel cat back last week on my '13 Tundra. I thought the 6" might be too loud but to my surprise it isn't, unless you're a throttle jockey(at these gas prices we can't afford to be). Couldn't be more pleased, definitely worth the wait for a handmade system and it fits perfectly. My stock muffler had a small drone at 1500rpm and Keith's is less than that. Use/install his resonator(it's one of the reasons you're buying his exhaust). So...This is my hats off to Keith and Dirty Deeds!!Thanks Keith!!

2009+ are all identical exhaust compatible between Doublecab 6.5’ beds and crewmaxs. The exceptions to these as far as fitment is RCSBs and DCLBs. Not sure about RCLBs. If yours is a 2011 Doublecab with the 6.5’ bed you can use any exhaust marketed for 2009+.
