I have a stock 2011 4x4 double cab (not crewmax) 4.6L v8 Tundra with 116k miles on it.
18" tires, steel rims, no cattle guard or anything.
The suspension is starting to feel a bit squishy and I'm looking for advice.

The truck is used 99% of the time on city streets. Sold the boat so not towing anything anymore. It gets used to haul dirt or something heavy a few times a year, but not over a significant distance. I'm not looking to level the truck or lift it.
I plan to keep the truck till it falls apart or dies, so just looking for a nice ride and suspension parts that will last as long as possible.

    I don't what I don't know..
Do I just need new shocks? Do I need to replace the springs?
Is this a DIY project? (I'm pretty handy and have a floor jack, torque wrench, basic tools; but haven't replaced shocks before).

Finally - suggestions on what to get?
    Thanks!

Armor for all your Toyota needs!
Honestly, with what you have going on, I think a set of Bilstein 5100s front and rear will do you perfectly fine. The front will lift it very slightly, coming in at around .86 or so inches in the front. Coming in at a price of about $534 for the set of 4.

Doing just the 5100s will increase your ride quality, performance and stability overall. As for leaf springs and stuff, personally I wouldn't touch them if you don't see a need for them to be replaced or any visible sagging in the rear end, don't fix what isn't broken!

As for DIY situation here, it can be a little sketchy, in my opinion at least, fussing with a spring compressor for the front end is what really freaks me out lol these Tundras have some heavy duty springs in the front end.
So my personal opinion, at least take out the front coilovers, bring them down to your local shop for them to swap out the springs, from there bring em back home and slap them back into your truck.
Rear shocks are very straight forward overall and will bolt up right!

Shoot me a DM if you'd like, I can get those shocks shipped out to you in the next 24 hours.

Easiest- find a near new set of shocks like i did and swap them in. Easy easy

you could buy new bilstein 4600 or eibach pro truck and diy it and probably be very happy with them

I have a 2013 and the shocks were worn out so i replaced them with kyb Monomax and they have been working great, one thing if you replace your front shocks you might need an alignment, It cost about $500 a 4wheel plus
