    None so far.
I need some help, I had a shop do an alignment after new tires and they said the jamb nut in the right tie rod was seized and they proceeded to round off where the wrench goes on the inner tie rod while trying to free the jamb nut. They wanted $340 for a new inner/outer. Figured I’d do it myself like I usually do and buy the parts and headed to the auto skills shop on base. So I removed the outer and then used a impact gun and Chanel locks to get the jamb nut off the inner, would have taken the shop what 10 min to do this, anyways the base shop didn’t have a removal tool large enough for the inner. We couldn’t get any purchase on the inner to remove due to the chassis being in the way.
    1. Will the speedy tool/ Mayhew tool work only going to 35-45mm since the flat spots on the inner are 48mm and the bulge is bigger?
    2. Do I need to drop My sway bar and skid plates for better access for a pipe wrench or chain wrench?
No one in the shop had ever changed inners on a tundra before so they were kind at a loss for what to do.
I ended up having to put the new outer on the old in we since technically you can now adjust it. I am going to replace the other side as well as the inner that didn’t get done in a while but didn’t want to pay a shop 1.5-2 hours in labor/side when it shouldn’t take that long.
Any help or advice is appreciated.

I know this is an older post but I’m the same predicament exactly. What did you do?
