Sorry to start a whole new thread but I looked through the tires and wheels sticky and couldn't find an answer.

Has anyone ran 285/75 r18 on the stock wheels and suspension? Did you have any rubbing? What about during compression of the suspension and articulation of the wheel?

I ran this size on stick suspension but with Method +18 wheels. I have very minor rubbing that was easily cleared up. Once I put the 2" level on it gave me clearance for days.

Thanks! Have you had a chance to see how it does when suspension gets compressed? I'd hate to find out that the tires rub while trying to navigate a trail.

I still have plenty of room underneath. The tires are roughly 2 inches taller but because they are 285s and not a"true" 35 they are narrow and don't come close to the UCAs. However my offroad ing do far has been limited to some rough forest service roads and nothing to extreme. I do have a wescott lift im putting on in a little over a week though.

Thanks again for the details. I took my truck and stuffed the passenger front up on an incline and broke out a tape measure. At full lock it's going to to really close to that bracket next to the mud flap. I think I'm going to end up saying "screw it" and just go for it. I really wish they had more options in the 285/70r18.

    Thanks again

I appreciate the offer. The only time I'm worried about contact is when the tire is shoved up into the wheel well and at full lock which isn't exactly a common occurrence. If you get a chance to take a picture of that I'd be very appreciative, but I'm not expecting you to go out of your way to make that happen.

    Thanks again!

I had to take the mudflaps off. So far so good. Hopefully I'll get out this weekend and get it offroad.

This thread makes me happy. This is my current tire size, and favorite size I’ve ever run.

Glad to know I can order a set in advance come the day I start looking for a 22+ tundra.
