Will 285/75/R17 ko2 spare fit under a 2015 tundra without modification? I am trying to do a 5 wheel rotation and I need the bed space for gear so I would like to avoid a bed spare tire mount. Also, when under the truck how do you protect the wheel from damage? I would think rocks and debris would scratch and totally mess up the mounted wheel.

If I did my math correctly, your tire diameter is 33.8". I fit a 295/70 R18 on the factory steel rim under my 2016 CM bed (34.25" O.D. tire) and using the factory mounts. However, I had to do a little bracket work to make it fit. I expect you would need to do the same. Some have cut these two brackets off and others have bent them out of the way a bit to allow room for the larger O.D. tire. I chose to cut/drill the front most rivets out, tilt the brackets back on the rear rivets, and then install a bolt with thick washer to hold the new bracket angle. Also, the finished part of your wheel should face up toward the bed. I doubt you will see damage anyhow, but if any flying debris, it would hit the "back" of the wheel. I say this because I had a 5 wheel rotation set-up on my '07 4Runner and never had any problems.

my 285 / 75 / 17 BFG AT KO2 fits under there with no modification on icon alloys (+25). It is face up so the wheel face does not make contact with anything that i have noticed.

EDIT: Mine is an 18 crewmax for your reference.
