255 70R18 Tire on a 9" Width Wheel?

    I'm not so sure (from a safety standpoint) that this is a good thing? Your comments/guidance would be appreciated.

    Just go to discounttire.com and look up the tires you are running, they will list acceptable rim widths that will work for the tire. I think tirerack has the same info.

    I did a quick check, some brands show 6.5-8.5 as acceptable, others show 6.5-9 inch width as ok. So check for the particular tire than you are running.
