Has anyone had issues with the front fenders denting really easily? My truck was in service at Toyota for 2 days for a new tire and in my possession for 2 days. Multiple dents on the right fender and 2 on the left. The dents are on the curve above the flare trims and before it angles out. No clue how it happened. They look like door dings but I didn't park next to anyone in the 2 days it was back in my possession. I cleaned my truck right before they serviced it just to take note of existing damage.

Not with this one but my dealer damaged my Tacoma several times…one time a busted passenger side mirror they actually went back and notated on the pre-service inspection sheet…problem was different handwriting so it was easy to prove they’d done it. Another time they damaged under the grille but I didn’t catch that in time.

Pictures make it difficult to see. Maybe I'll get a video up too, its much more noticeable when you're walking up to the truck. The dents can be made out where there are distortions in the reflections on the fender. In the first pic you can see ripples on the red truck's reflection and edge of the curb. It's almost like seeing the outline of someone's ribs through their skin. The second picture you can see the curb reflection almost makes a 'Z'. And also the sharp jagged lines of the reflection of the road. That's the deeper dent.

Oh man, that sucks. I'm sorry that happened to you. That looks like a hard, straight edge made contact with some force to get a near crease in the metal like that. I can't speak to how easily these fenders dent overall, but my personal opinion is that took some force to cause a near crease.

They look like a handful of light door dings with one a little worst than the rest so luckily it's not creased. I think they should be able to smooth it out a bit. Just disappointing if they dent that easily. Maybe someone leaned up against the fender when working on that wheel. That's location where they replaced my tire. They refuse to admit blame but Toyota is going to have someone fix it today.

What's with the gap in the fender flare. Caused by the dent??

I think it's more the angle of the photo and the reflections.

Yea, that's correct. The fender flares were not affected.
