22 TRD Pro / Heritage Grille Camera Mount Bracket

I just ordered the Diode Dynamics light bar. From what I understand I now need the camera mount and the push button.

Will I also need a separate wiring harness for the light bar?
Anything else I need?

switch works fine, Im running it. You will need a relay harness and fuse for the light bar. I made my own stuff, not sure if someone makes a Tundra specific one.

 

Which one did you get? Doesn’t the DD light bar already come with a harness and switch?

I ordered the same kit and it came with the small switch but want to purchase the rave offroad trd switch.

 

Looks really good and OEM. Gonna order it now

 

Like others said....not oem light at all. It'll stand out at night

 

What was the Toyota part number for the lights? Are they the ones from the tailgate repurposed for the front?

 

exactly it. The part numbers for the individual LEDs are Part # 81730-YY010 22165. However trying to find them individually has been fruitless. I did manage to get a hold of 3 extra lights from the flares.

The red lights for the tailgate are different than the lights in the flares. I have that part number but part is currently on back order.

Got my Alibaba marker lights in and installed!
Curious has anyone tied them into the DRL on the headlight? Prefer to not run a fuse tap just for the looks!
If you tied them into the DRL lights what color was the wire? I have an loaded SR5 with manual adjustment lights!

How much are you paying for the ones from Alibaba from Kim. Earlier in the thread I thought I saw 48 but I am seeing 119 now.

I'm on the struggle bus here. I got my ebay light and the Caliraised switch. I've tried every combination but I can't get the light to turn on with the switch. The switch didn't come with a diagram. I've looked online and tried to follow similar switches but still nothing. The only thing I've been able to figure out is how to illuminate the switch. I know this isn't difficult but I can get it haha. Has anybody else used this switch?

 

Try this. I snapped a pic from Rave Offroad. Looks like the same switch and wiring. I also have the Caliraised switch and gonna try it this way.

This is what I was sent. Do I need a relay for this to work? Sorry but I'm not the best at wiring.

 

You run the risk of burning up the switch if you overload it. Not sure what the light and switches are rated at. I'd just run a relay to make sure.

 

What type of relay would I need?

Once I have it, would it be black to black, red to red, and green to the relay then the relay to power? The white and yellow lights would be tapped in for interior lights?

I just wanted to come back to this thread and share some photos of the support brackets that were developed for the TRD Pro grill conversion kit. These were designed to stiffen the light bar in this location to reduce the risk of damage to the grill as we have seen with other companies products thus far. One of my TRD Pro marker lights is retaining water. Covered under warranty (I have a TRD Pro) but dealer hasn't been able to locate a part number for a replacement. Anyone else having any luck procuring the grill marker lights? Are they just not being sold now?

 

Guess it'll be a long wait before I can get the lights replaced then lol

 

@Prohit how is your 3D printed bracket for the little amber lights working out? I'm interested in doing the same thing with my Platinum when I change the grille.

 

It’s held up great so far. No movement and has been through some different temperature swings.

 

My oem trd pro grill mounting tabs don’t have threads to where I can screw the light bracket to. What gives? I cant screw them in

 

Has anyone wired the 3 marker lights to parking lights on a limited package? What wires are used? I don't want them coming on with the ignition like the Rave video shows. Not sure if this has been covered in a previous post, I didn't see it when searching.

 

Has anyone wired up the aliexpress light bar up. I can’t get it to work with my cali switch using a relay. From the Cali switch black and white are ground. Green goes to the relay and red goes to the battery. If I am doing something incorrect let me know.

 

I tapped mine into a light green wire on the headlight. Passenger side! I'll see if I can snap a picture tonight if needed. They are on any time the truck headlights are on.

 

Does the relay click when you activate the switch?
