I have a 2022 Double Cab Limited, the back window started leaking. I took it in, the service guy and mechanic looked at it and "this is going to be warrantied out" gave me a free loaner and told me it would be a couple days.

They called me today and let me know that Toyota won't cover it because it is "stress cracks".

This doesn't make sense to me and I am at a loss as to what to do about it.

I look online at others that are having the same issue and they are getting covered under warranty.

Being that Toyota already refused it I am not sure what to do.

People online are saying that the entire window needs to be replaced because the window and seal are all one piece. Sounds expensive.

    Any advise?

Take it back. Get it replaced under warranty. You don't have to accept their answer as being the end all. Why would it have stress cracks? Are there modifications to the window? Mods that would affect the window? Do you jump it like a Raptor and post the videos on TikTok??

I haven't even picked it up yet. I am actually on hold with Toyota customer support right now.

No modifications and I am too old to be jumping it or even using TikTok.

My honest guess is water getting in there and freezing?

Here is the other thread I found on it:

Just an update from Toyota, the rep I talked to seemed very confused by this. The fact that they are saying that it isn't covered and then would not even give me a quote on the repair, told me I would need to take it to a window place to get it repaired.

She opened a case for me and is escalating it.

    I will update again.
