    I've been dealing with secondary air injection crap always but it comes&goes. Limp mode occasionally so I pop off battery cable&back on, it quits for many miles.I've previously dealt with a bad connection,(spliced wires), leading to front speed sensor&it causes traction control light on, vcs off light&4lo flashing, along with check engine&abs light on.Its accompanied by 4wd not engaging. Fixed wire&all lights gone.
    Currently I'm dealing with all those lights again plus 4hi&4lo flashing simultaneously.also, truck shifts hard into D&won't shift past 4th gear.
    I asked before if a faulty speed sensor could affect the transmission&was told no way. I thought it seemed like it could. With it throwing several codes now&having familiar&new symptoms, I guess i need to better understand what the codes mean.
    Codes are
    Car Scanner ELM OBD2
    DTC report
    Selected brand: Toyota

    ============1==============
    P0983
    Raw code: 0983
    ECU: Engine control unit
    Status: Confirmed
    Shift solenoid (SS) D - circuit high
    Shift Solenoid D Control Circuit High

    ============2==============
    P0983
    Raw code: 0983
    ECU: Engine control unit #1
    Status: Confirmed
    Shift solenoid (SS) D - circuit high
    Shift Solenoid D Control Circuit High

    ============3==============
    C1201
    Raw code: 5201
    ECU: ABS control unit #2
    Status: Confirmed
    Engine Control System Malfunction (VCS lamp ON-RX3) or ECM/TCM malfunction / 51

    ============4==============
    C1241
    Raw code: 5241
    ECU: ABS control unit #2
    Status: Confirmed
    IG Power Source Circuit (MR, Cel.)

    ============5==============
    C1330
    Raw code: 5330
    ECU: ABS control unit #2
    Status: Confirmed
    Do I need new harness for speed sensors that are exactly like the original ones? Got new connectors but they cheap&iknow there's for sure speed sensor issues still, whether it's the harness&which harness I don't know? Are abs&speed sensors same thing? Will the wheel speed sensor or its wiring/ harness cause the silinoid code&not shifting to high gears? Thanks in advance

    Your P0983 code is most likely a faulty (high circuit) Shift Solenoid 'D'; which will probably need to be replaced. This is done by dropping the tranny pan removing the old solenoid and replacing w/a new one. Yes, it is possible that you may have an electrical connection issue either in the pan at the solenoid or on the connector going into the tranny (exterior). It's not uncommon for the that connector to have trapped water in it causing corrosion. But, more than likely, the D Solenoid will need to be replaced.... A good mechanic should be able to test the electrical connections on the exterior and then check the function of the solenoids once the pan is dropped (the tranny has several). This code will produce a check engine light that can be cleared, but it will turn back on pretty quickly (same day, next day or even a few miles down the road)...

    C1201 is a code that is probably being thrown in conjunction w/the P0983 code; this code is generated to trigger the truck going into limp mode.

    C1241 and C1330 I have not personally dealt with; they may be 'sympathetic' codes like C1201, but I don't know for sure. The lights that are turned on during limp mode generally do not include the yellow ABS light or the red BRAKE light (either of which would probably indicated an issue in one of those systems)

    When my truck was throwing P0983 and C1201, I did not have ABS or BRAKE lights illuminate w/CIL or when in LIMP mode. For me, once the shift solenoid was replaced, both P0983 and C1201 issues were resolved and have not returned. I'd start there and move forward w/troubleshooting, but hopefully it will resolve your other C codes as well.

    I'm not sure where you are located, but my suggestion based on current pricing and service delays from dealers (unless you have a good one) would be to start at a reputable transmission shop. Screen them by phone first to verify they are experienced and comfortable replacing the solenoids before you take the truck to them for confirmation and repair. I've heard others say that some dealers won't even replace the solenoids they just want to replace the entire tranny...

    For reference, it took me 2 weeks to get an appointment into a decent tranny shop, issues were confirmed that morning, parts ordered (OE) that day, parts receive the next morning, truck done and back to me just after a few hours later.

    Hope this helps and good luck w/your resolution.

    If you can, it would be helpful for you to post back w/your findings (especially w/the additional codes) in case others run into similar issues in the future.

    Welcome to the forum!!!

    I will concur with @tripleconpanna Ref: C0983 and C1201 I get these as well, randomly along with P2714 which is also randomly and usually 6 months or more in between being cleared and coming back, don't go into limp mode. I would caution the C1201 code will take your ABS, so you're back to regular braking, if you panic brake they will lock. No experience with the other codes

    Looking them up
    C1241- Low battery positive voltage (Not sure about this one, maybe a loose connector? I never got this code before my battery left me stranded in the most convenient and well lit places. /s)
    C1333-open cct. in left rear speed sensor (from another site would suggest you inspect for damaged wiring, connector or sensor The C1201 may be related to this one here)
