    Hello Folks,
First I'd like to say thanks for having me here.

I promise I'll keep the dumb questions to a minimum hahaha

This is my first Toyota product, my wife until two days ago had a 2008 RAV 4 and it treated her so well that she just bought a new to her 2022 (supposedly one of the best years). We live in the Northeast and the weather and elements are not conducive to long automobile lifespans. That RAV had zero rust or body rot.

That is why I decided to trade in my 2016 Ram for a 2025 Tundra. I could already see signs of bubbling paint and rot on the Ram.

Here's to hoping the Tundra body lasts longer than eight years.

    Again, thanks for adding me.

I have the same color and cab configuration but a 2022. One day I was leaning on the tailgate of my truck and noticed some paint was bubbling right below the rear middle brake light on the back of the cab. I brought it to the dealership thinking it was covered under the paint warranty of 3 years or 36,000 mi. Whichever comes first. Come to find out it's actually rust that had rusted from the inside of the cab all the way through the outside paint. This is covered under the rust perforation and corrosion warranty that is for 72,000 mi. Toyota had to order a whole new roof panel and have it installed which took them almost 20 days to achieve. The roof does not come pre-painted and it is a panel that has to be welded to the area that the old roof was cut out of. They did provide a rental which was convenient but it was frustrating not having my truck. With all that said, keep a close eye on your paint and make sure to bring it to Toyota before you get to 72,000 miles. I was told by my the collision center at my dealership this warranty repair cost roughly around $8000 to $9,000.
