After putting over 5k miles on my 2025 Platinum with the factory installed OE 3" lift kit, I'm realizing that I have zero regrets buying this model vs spending the same amount on a TRD Pro.
I made a list of the differences between the two models for others to consider before making their next Tundra purchase. I left off most the obvious cosmetic add-ons (aka red-stripe steering wheel, TRD Badges, etc.) and tried to stick to the functional stuff.

Including the optional electric step / tailgate step and HUD display on the Platinum, both trucks come in at about the same cost ... but keep in mind that you will need to spend another $4k or so on wheels, tires, and fog lights, for the Platinum model.
Let me know what I missed...

I think you missed the 2.5" Fox Shocks on the TRD Pro. Also I believe (correct me if I am wrong) you need to have the TRD Off Road package to get the factory 3" lift. If correct the Crawl would be the same for both.

I looked (Briefly) at the TRD Pro, but here in SF Bay Area the markup on new is crazy and even used they hold their value. Settled on a Used Tundra Platinum with TRD Off Road and factory 3" lift and I'm very happy with it.

Platinum with the 3" lift is definitely the way to go. I personally think the TRD Pro is underwhelming for the price.

    I thought the same thing.
When building the Platinum on Toyotas website, it requires adding of the TRD Off Road package to get the OE 3" lift.
But it turns out that isn't the case ... at least not for 2025. I found my Platinum with the OE lift and no TRD Off Road package, which allowed for the electric step option ... as the electric step is not available with the TRD Off Road package. (love the tailgate step)

Good to know you don't need the TRD to get the lift option.

I need to see if I can add the electric step to mine. I have the Toyota OEM manual step and while functional, not liking how it's manual.

I think I've seen a post or Youtube of someone adding the electric tailgate step to the Tundra.
There was quite a bit to it if I remember correctly.

All the stuff you listed for the TRD Pro is cosmetic, except for the MTS and locker. Those are limited use scenario items, the locker only available at low speed in 4Lo, so not the same as an aftermarket locker.
