Hello, Just got my 2025 Tundra Platinum. Dealer switched out the stock running boards with the TRD 6in wide running boards, PT767-34220, but they just do not extend that much from the body. I only have maybe 2.5 inches to place my foot on. Short of disassembling them to see if I can adjust them does anyone know if I can? If not recommendations, I don't want steps, just the wide flat board length. I like the TRD's but they are either installed too close to the body or ? but just no room to fully step on.

Any suggestions for replacements if these are not adjustable.

I have had two Tacomas and 2 Tundras. Didn't like steps on any of them until got last Tundra. They are powered steps. They make it easy to get into and out.

I have those boards too on my 2022, same issue at first but got used to them. They do a great job of protecting the underside from dirt or mud splashing which might explain their tight positioning. I say give it a few weeks and you might just forget how tucked away they are. For reference I have fairly large feet, size 11 1/2 boots.

If you open the door to get in they are wider.

But seriously I don't get the problem. I am 14.5 4E and have zero issues with the TRD boards.

If you don't put your foot more parallel on any board you are going to need a 8-9" board hanging off the truck

I’m with SWB Tundra, have the 24 Tundra and removed the same steps you have now. Installed the AMP side board first week, love them. Just need to be careful, don’t chop your calves off when jumping out too quickly. You can easily adjust the timing when they start ‘falling behind’. For the money you already spent on the luxury version, it will be well worth the additional expense. Chicks dig that stuff too++

Sell the new/old ones on market place, someone will buy the TRD ones quick.

I run GoRhino RB20s that I sourced from my dealership directly. Been very pleased with both the form and function. Another option to consider.
