I have a new Tundra with about 40-0 miles and the brakes have been squeaking since the first week I have owned it, but only when you back up the truck. The dealer refuses to acknowledge that there is any problem. They told me I can pay for new brake pads if I want the problem to go away, Has anyone had similar problems ? how do you get it fixed ?

sounds like you have a shit dealer.

There is a TSB for this also, search for it, print it and send it to them

conversely, if thats a no go, find another dealer.

those that have the TSB done says it works awesome and everything is silent

I've only had my 24 Tundra SR5 just over a week and haven't experienced this. They will definitely need to look at that for you like @Breathing Borla said. Now if you've got a whistling wind noise around the driver side mirror above 65mph or so, talk to me... I've trying to track that down on mine currently with no luck so far...

The noise from the mirror is due to the gasket being folded over during manufacturing.

I have the same exact issue. Brought it to the dealer, they gave me some BS solution they said they performed. Of course it didnt fix it so I'll need to bring it back. I need to find the TSB for the stated solution.

I believe that's it. I have isolated it to (what I think) is the side driver mirror. When I'm barreling down the interstate, and I hear the whistle, I can fold the side mirror in and it goes away mostly. Was this what you experienced?

I have seen the gasket being folded issue mentioned in only one other post here.

I agree, that would be great!

I called my dealership which told me they didn’t have anything on that yet. They told me to call Toyota corporate. I just did that and person I talked to said this was the first they personally have heard of that with this MY2024.

They took my info down then just said take it by dealership for them to fix (if they can). I’m going to do that soon.

I’m going to lead them to this gasket and ask they at least check mine whether or not they can replicate the whistle noise on the road.

I’ll take pics and post here of what they find if I can be there when they uncover it.

My dealer told me there was a TSB but they have no way to fix it. I should wait 6 months and come back.

This is something I would prefer to do myself if it’s just a gasket than to wait at the dealership

My 22 had this issue when reversing and braking. Just got new pads/rotors, etc. See my invoice image for parts they used. 100% covered, but I had to live with the squeak for 30 months.

Take it to the dealer. They ordered the kit above for mine once they could replicate the issue.
No brake light lighting up, likely something else.

I got the brake TSB done, free of charge. I was afraid of waking the neighbors in the morning when backing out, it was awful. Dealer didn't even try to replicate the issue. I told them what was happening, told them about the TSB, and they ordered the parts. Came in 6 weeks later and they installed the whole thing. New pads, rotors, etc. at 10k miles on my truck. Not a peep from my brakes since. My son is waiting on his parts to arrive to do his too. His was ordered about a month ago.

Are people getting this fixed or are parts still not coming in? I've had this TSB request to fix in since August, and he said he's got 4 or 5 others still waiting too.

for some odd (cough) reason, the UPDATED brake parts used to address the squeak are HARD to get, VIN has to be included with the order, they are 'manually controlled parts' - Toyota's parts distribution system is BROKE, as someone who has worked at Toyota dealerships since 1980, it sucks now to be the parts guy...
