I thought all 2024 Limited Tundra have an active spoiler. My new this week Limited TRD Off Road does not. Should this truck have one?

    Lots of stuff!
In Canada, we don't get them on the TRD OR configurations. I think they are taken off if the 3" lift is installed by the dealer.

I think the reasoning is that if you are offroading and the spoiler comes down, it might get smashed by the rocks and stumps.

It might get removed with the 3" lift installed. Otherwise, I would think your truck would have it (Speaking for US configurations.) My '24 with the TRD OR pack has it.

Do they even work? Make vehicle more fuel efficient?
Wonder how much more aerodynamic they make things.

hasn’t moved my fuel economy in one way or the other after removing mine that was damaged by road debris. Just another asinine add on that is overly complicated and expensive to replace

My 24 Platinum with TRD OR has it. I was surprised at the first oil change.

My 2024 Limited TRD OR has it as well. USA truck with no lift.
I wish it didn’t as I would have liked to install a front receiver hitch.

I had a problem with the motor on mine (1794) and had it repaired by the dealer.
Afterwards I disconnected it, weather wrapped devices electrical connectors, zip tied the diconnected then plug as well as the spoiler.
No more spoiler going back and forth.... zero errors on the dash.

Fuel economy change? Not for me. Mine sucks with all the stop/go driving I do.

Interesting. It sounds like they brought it back sometime in ‘24 on TRD OR pkg vehicles. It was deleted in ‘23 somewhere between Feb and May ‘23 build dates on any trim with the TRD OR package. My May '23 Lim TRD OR did not have one

Mine broke this past summer & the Stealership fixed it under warranty.
I have 35's on and didn't expect any fuel efficiency, the spoiler deploys at 40 MPH and will not deploy if in Tow mode.

Limited Trd Off Road package deletes the spoiler in Canada. I took the fixed one off of my GMC before. It did make a slight but still noticeable difference in mpg. Especially if you do a lot of highway miles. I wouldn't mind seeing how much of a difference it'd make on the Tundra myself but it doesn't seem like anyone that didn't have the spoiler has documented putting one on. I'd try to retrofit one if possible and if someone had the parts to give away but it wouldn't be worth much overall with the amount of moving parts and potential failures.

With the truck in it's stock configuration, that is, short tires and no lift, the answer is: Probably, but likely very little.
You can bet Toyota wouldn't bother with it if they couldn't eke out .1 mpg from having it there.
Once you put taller tires on and/or lift the truck, all bets are off.
The further away from the ground it is, the less of an effect it has.
Mine's still in place, but will likely get removed at some point.

How do you remove it and not get an error message?

theres 4-6 bolts that hold it in place. Just remove them and leave the motor alone is what I did
