Just bought my first Toyota (2023 Tundra Limited), My question is when I get in the truck after remote starting, the seat and cabin are cold along with the steering wheel. All other trucks I have owned sense the temp outside and automatically turn on heat and or AC accordingly. Does Toyota have these features? Truck is freezing in the morning after 10 min remote start.

Yes but you need to make sure they are on when you turn your truck off the night before. Make sure heat has auto turned on and not just fan speed. Depending on how cold it is where you live you may need to run two cycles of remote start. I have found if it is near or below 30 degrees F outside with wind, 10 min is not long enough to warm it up. Factory default is 10 then truck shuts off. Mine is still pretty cold inside after 10 minutes when its really cold outside. Hey Toyota if you are reading these forums, I wish Toyota would let us change how long remote start runs like other remote start systems offer.

For me the auto setting didn't work. I had to manually turn the heat up and airflow to max, as well as heated steering wheel and seats if I wanted to get into a somewhat warm truck the next morning. When I left it to auto it never seemed to warm up at all.

Thanks, seems odd that Toyota doesn't auto sense the outside temp and conditions and auto turn on heat or AC.
If auto turned on before shutting off for the night, does the defrosters come on to melt snow automatically? This seems like a fail compared to other auto makers. With all the tech in the trucks this seems silly.
I agree about the 10 minutes, this should be adjustable as it was on my chevy's.
    Thanks for the input

In freezing temps the defrost comes on automatically but only at the temp setting that was last used before shut down. The mirror and rear window defrost comes on as well. Those are the only auto functions I've noticed. Same as in my 2020.

In the auto setting the fan speed stays pretty low until the engine warms to a certain temp then it increases fan speed. So it makes sense that what you did worked better.
