    Hello,

    I have a 2023 Tundra 1794 trim level and I did receive an official notice from Toyota of a safety recall for my vehicle with no remedy at the moment. The letter indicated a replacement motor is the expected remedy. I am a first time Toyota owner and the first vehicle with this kind of recall.
    I appreciate the group and if these have been answered, my apologies.

    1. Is there a class action lawsuit? I am just curious.

    2. Dealer advices me today that i can "ground" my truck and they will provide a no charge loaner vehicle for the time, until the recall is completed on my truck. I would have to bring the rental back every 15 days to have it switched out. Has anyone done this before? Are they are any negatives?

    Thank you
    J

    Don’t know about number 1

    Regarding your second question I’ve done the loaner program when I had my 19 Tacoma and 18 4Runner in for fuel pump recall. No real down side other than loaners aren’t typically the same vehicle you’re giving up.

    Lots of stuff!
    @Fortyfive

    Depending on where you are located rentals can be had:

    US owners get a rental reimbursement of up to $60 per day and there is a procedure to get that.

    Canadian owners get nothing but a kick in the pants and are shown the door!

    I don't see a class action suit working since Toyota has come to the table with new engines. But I am not a lawyer so I really don't know the ins and outs of that.

    Will fix the errors now. I love dates and eat them often. Thank you.
