Hey all - new member here. Purchased my 2023 SR5 TRD Sport in Lunar Rock in December of 2022 at MSRP, super easy transaction at Beaman Toyota in Nashville.

So far I've put close to 12k miles on it and it's been the best truck I've owned to date. I came from a 2021 Sierra AT4 with the 3.0 Duramax that was pretty problematic starting at the 4k mile mark (engine issues, not starting, electrical issues, etc). That was my 2nd GM truck. Previous had also been problematic. Loved the idea of the 3.0 Duramax. Got pretty incredible fuel economy, was great to drive, super refined and quiet, just typical GM reliability issues.

Previous to that truck I'd had a 2000 Dakota, 2011 F150, 2016 4Runner (that experiment failed...turns out I do need a truck after all), 2017 Canyon, 2021 Sierra AT4, and now my 2023 Tundra. Hoping to keep this one for a long time.

Issues so far were all upon delivery - driver's side window seal wasn't seated correctly and would whistle above 45 MPH. Dealership fixed it immediately, no issue. Had the laggy throttle issue when coming to an incomplete stop and then accelerating again. Software update mostly fixed that one.

Other than that, I really have no complaints. The powertrain is a blast to drive (no hybrid), super quiet and comfortable cabin, tech has worked flawlessly, multiple long trips with what I'd consider to be great fuel economy for a vehicle of this size and with this much power (18MPG overall, mixed city/highway driving). Just took it on a roughly 2000 mile trip down to West Palm Beach. 1700 miles on the highway, probably about 300 driving around the Broward/West Palm area with 3 total people in the truck and a full bed of road trip shit. Still got my 18 MPG overall (I don't drive slowly). 33 gallon tank rules. Not much more to say. Great truck.
