I saw someone posted on FB that all of the Tundra's had a price increase this week. The Pro is showing a $2400 price increase.

When entering the build on my 22 limited it went up about $3k after adding in the packages and port add ons.

This is the 3rd increase since the truck was released. Seems to happen in May and Sept.

You read it wrong. When I build out my truck with the same packages and port add ons, the 2023 model is about $3k more than what I paid for my 2022.

I had my dealer claim that I got my delivery just under the price increase and even though we had a deal they were not going to eat the price increase.

All these price increases we’re paying for is because they locked us down for 3 months and caused a backlog in everything.

I suggest we boycott all major purchases for 3-6 months, the same length they locked us down, and force all manufactures to bring their prices down.

There is no end in sight to this, we really should start boycotting as a tool against corporations.

A 2023 pro in white is 72,815. My 2022 pro in white was one of the first built and it was $68,500 total. Wow what a jump

for context this is base + delivery fee which is now $1895 (mine was $1695)

Is this still true? I mean, I get it for the Pro and other exclusive trims from the domestics (Raptor, etc). But in general, haven’t the increased prices and higher interest rates cooled the market off a bit? Regardless, one should never let FOMO dictate his vehicle purchase.

pretty easy to see by looking at toyota lots vs domestic lots. who has more sitting on the lots 30+ days (excluding the ADM dealers).

my dealer cant keep a new tundra on the lot longer than 1-2 weeks in my town. pretty much 90% of new tundra's are pre-sold before they even hit the lot. i know mine was listed for sale even though it was already pre-sold ($1000 deposit) before they even got it delivered (verified via vin listed on the website). the one they did have on lot and had actual pics didnt even last 10 days. hell my 2018 sold in 5 weeks from first post on website to sell date (6-march to 14-april)

only new vehicles they have on lot are dodges, they cant keep any toyota's on the lot.

edit: i know my toyota dealer is not an exclusive dealer so the allocations they get are lower than an exclusive dealer.

the exclusive dealer in bismarck has 21 in transit, 2 actual photo'd, and 4 not showing in transit (possible actual inventory listing)

so thehy are not doing much better.

Those are 10 jackasses not 10 people.
Banks are fully complicit in this, they now allow 6 & 7 year loans on new cars when it used to be 5 years max. The same can be said in real estate, people can’t afford those prices, the only way they make it work is by extending loan terms.

Cap home loans to 15 years & auto loans to 3 years and watch prices tumble by 40%. No one should work 5-7 years for a car nor 30-35 years for a house, if they do its because they can’t afford it.

For just 9k more than the capstone can grab a new TRX. Or get a discount of 4k and get a Rivian. Neither is likely to escape the scrapyard without a small fortune but lots of “lifestyle”/“prestige” options out there at that price point.
