Just an FYI. Reached out about a platinum hybrid allocation and it’s a 2023. Looks like 4x4 hybrid platinum is just over $1k price increase from the 22 MY.

With all the problems on on 2022s they should be lowering the price not raising it.

Other trims have changed too? Haven't noticed any price increases in Canada... yet.
I wonder what they're gonna look like up here.

You say that like you are assuming (Ford fan?) the domestics don't have their own issues
    • "While Tundra sales are growing (15% for the first eight months), its Detroit rivals are down for the same period—18% for Ram 1500, 15% for GMC Sierra, 11% for Chevrolet Silverado, and 10% for Ford F-Series."

    Alot of them
The 22 is way overpriced for any trim level. Not to mention that it was a cosmetic disaster lol.

Anyone know how much extra, roughly, the new Tundra increased in price over the previous generation?

I was under the impression we already experienced a significant price hike when the 2022's came out....

Varies widly across trim. I think it was in the tune of 8-12%.

But from 22 to 23, $1k ain't bad. Everyone else is shooting up higher.

Seems really bad to me. My wife and I both make decent money, but haven't received a raise in several years. Every bit hurts.

My current down payment for a new vehicle used to be enough to outright buy it, now it's enough to get my payments to around $300/mo for 60.

I'm very intrigued by how you are able to enjoy so much new vehicle turnover, every time we try to get into a new vehicle, the dealerships in our area make it very clear to they have no motivation to deal.

My raise at my current company this year was 1.5%. I love where I'm at and it's a state government job and easy af but 1.5% is laughable. I get that it's not performance based but state budget based but still. So I started quietly looking and found a similar role for the world's top law firm and the base salary is a 30% bump on top of annual bonus of 10%. Hate leaving where I'm at but can't pass up a 30% base bump.

It really depends on your market. In SAT and DFW area cars sell for high so I source mine for msrp outside, enjoy them, then sell them to this absurd market. My 21 pro was msrp, my 21 F150 was 9k off msrp, my crv was msrp, the lightning and trd pro were msrp.

I think $1900 to $2500 depends on trims.

Some of the raw material had gone up 180% in last 2 years, when you factor in labor costs increase as well, its inevitable the costs will go up and probably will see larger hike in 2024MY compare to 2023MY with probably some new tech, now what I paid for my '21 incld all the mods suddenly seem like a deal!

For wages, its a can of worms, some technology sector raise has been 10% year over year, even in automotive, I've seen some position had received nearly 20% raise due to the shortage of engineers and specialty skills.

The lightning lariat went up $8500 from 2022 to 2023 and it's the same except it lost features like smart hitch and the bed scales

Didn't that coincidentally wipe out the upcoming BEV tax credits?

I guess you can’t blame them. They already needed justification for driving outdated vehicle. Now with the 2023MY price increase, it really puts it out of reach for them.

I’m an actual 2022 Tundra SR5 owner. I took delivery of one off the lot 5 months ago. I will only report my experience.

My dealer keeps sending me emails about a platinum they have and how they just lowered the price. They still want like $70k. Needless to say it’s been sitting for awhile now. Just got this new email.

“We hope you've been enjoying your 2020 Toyota Tundra PU!
We wanted to let you know that for a limited time you can upgrade to the 2022 Toyota Tundra SR5”

They want $52,659+ttt for a SR5. I am sorry but ain’t no SR5 worth $52k. I like the “limited time” part though.
