Didn't that happen to @Breathing Borla during a test drive of a Ford Hybrid F150?

guess you don't have a warranty? or just don't want to take it in and chew their ass? So easy and quick to complain - can't help you if you can't help yourself. GL.

That sucks man....I would be pissed if I paid $100k, Canadian rupees, for a truck and it did that. I got rid of 2022 Honda Ridgeline with 30k miles on it because it kept having to be brought into the dealer for dying on me.

Not at all trying to blame anyone, nor am I trying to shift the blame off of Toyota. But I would be curious about how these failed motors were broken in. In my owners manual it tells me no hard acceleration for the 1st 1K miles, no towing for 500 miles, avoid high speeds for 1K miles, avoid a constant speed for long durations...etc. I also read somewhere to not go over 4K RPM's for the 1st 1K miles. With all these "restrictions" for a long break in period, I wonder if some of the problem is there.

this is a hybrid failure. Nothing to do with break in. My hybrid failed 13 weeks ago and nothing has been fixed. I followed the break in period. No hard acceleration, no towing. Still failed twice in a year. Been in the shop as much as I have had it in my driveway.

So are they replacing hybrid batteries then? Maybe the hybrid module?

It appears Toyota is no better than Dodge used to be. One person gets a great truck that lasts forever, the next a POS that is in the shop all the time.

Dodge (Stellantis) still is a POS - So many problems and worst of all the Dealers can't get the parts to fix them, and when they do Dodge nickel and dimes the dealer on what they will and won't pay for.

Everything gets worse every year and you go buy a brand new truck with a bunch of gadgets. What did you expect?

Parts are hard for everyone to get, plus shipping is still messed up and more expensive than ever!:)

Usually, they are known as shipping crates for a reason. Its why the Cummins was the only thing that was ever worth anything on a Dodge....

enjoy your Dodge Ram. Hope you don't find it stuck on the Dealer Lot as part of a Safety Recall that the Dealer can't get parts for. How many Dodge/RamJeep models have been identified as problem vehicles in the past few months with potential recalls coming? 775K Jeeps and over a million Rams. Again, enjoy your Ram.

Two separate warning you have a low tire, but rather than check your tires you snapped photos and complained on social media. Traction Control you can turn on and off at will turn off depending on the drive status YOU put it in. The check engine + hybrid failure is the same failure. Took the dealer all of an hour to fix mine.

Just take it to the shop Nancy, you own a great truck

Happy that yours was so easy. Again, mine with similar errors completely died (two separate occasions) and has spent combined a half a year in the shop. Not minor. Even if it is an hour fix, should a truck have CEL and warning messages of drive train issues within a year?

The entire auto industry sucks. Every manufacturer has/is is putting out some junky, POS vehicles. There should be a class action suit against the entire industry for some of the junk that they have been putting out the last several years.
