2022 TUNDRA SR5 with air springs option: Yes I have the capacities from the door jam. However, looking for a slide-in camper from Scout, model options 885-1130 lbs. dry. But the “manual for this vehicle”says max camper weight 825 lbs. Hmmm. Is this because of gross rear axle limitations?

I’m not certain on this, but I would be willing to bet it’s due to bed strength. Slide in campers are rough on truck beds.

Another social media platform response to this said the manufacturers of other brands do this as well… lower cargo capacity for slide-in camper because they assume most will not follow the GVWR recommendations. So they build in 150 lbs per seatbelt as part of the camper restriction.

I wouldn't think twice, bag it, load it and go....
Now a 2000# camper? Probably not.

So we bought a travel lite 850sbrx for my limited. Had torklift frame mount tie downs installed. We had no issue other then then space. So we are selling it and the tie downs to get a travel trailer

Yep if I remember right. Added the 1000lb air bags to help with the squat. Forgot it was there most of the time

This is an overused cliché. There's no way in hell you forgot 2350# of high center of gravity weight was in the bed of your truck. Or that you were riding on 1000# helper bags. It had to drive just a smidge different than an unloaded truck.
