I am a builder contractor. I bought the 2022 SR 8' bed for the simple fact that it had everything the F150 had, but was available. I don't believe in canopy covers or toolboxes. I use the whole bed and lumber rack set up. Having the cab to store expensive tools was worth the long wheel base even for driving around the tiny streets of Portland, OR.

    Burning questions:
    1. Will the fuel economy really stack up with the proposed 19mpg
    2. Are options like air suspension from Toyota be available as an add on? Are the harnesses there waiting to be wired or are the extra switches in the dash arrays not usable
    3. Does the power difference between SR and SR5 really make a difference if you aren't hauling a 17' yacht.

    Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)!

    1. It depends on how you drive more than anything else.
    2. Unknown. I don't remember seeing anything about that posted here, just questions about if it can be done.
    3. I doubt it. Either has sufficient power to do just about anything you need to do with a 1/2 ton truck.

    Welcome.

    From past experience.

All these new turbo charged, direct injected motors. Big power gains can be had for little $$. A chip.

If you feel you need more torque and power later, I'm sure there will be many options.

I'd consider your concern for more power later, to be a non concern.

I bet 75-100 horsepower could be had for $300 . Later on

    Just my calculated prediction
