Hoping someone can clear this up for me…. It just got real hot here(90s) and i set the auto temp to 65. I noticed the A/C does not light up when using AUTO Unless I push the A/C button. In the manual it says something about blowing ambient air if the AC button is not on…

does anyone know if you need to press the A/C button everytime you start the truck to get it cooler down?

I don’t have to…doubt that’s what you want to hear. I have seen it discussed here before but don’t remember the outcome. Sorry.

I think I answered my own question. If its in AUTO and i push AC the light comes on and nothing changes. If I push it it again it says AC off and the rpms drop so its clear the AC is on when in AUTO.

There’s a menu in the infotainment display that let’s you turn AC off when you use Auto. It’s set to AC ON by default.

Also, if you set the drive mode to ECO it sets the HVAC to ECO too so it blows weaker.

I've noticed the same with mine. To this day, I'm still wondering if the ac goes on because it did happened that the air wasn't getting cooler.
