Tell me if all the 2022 Tundra trucks bought came with N2 in the tires or did the factory send some trucks with the black caps and air in the tires. My truck came with the black caps and the dealer is saying that all trucks come with N2. I don't believe them since I hav black caps. It's a $400 charge which I wasn't aware of and I think I am going to follow up with Toyota. Let me know what was in your truck.

Thats a very good question. I was at the dealer trying to close a deal and that was one of the charges the local dealer also had that I could not get them to drop. They also had a $499 window tint fee.

No. No oem is wasting time on something that does nothing, especially when the alternative is free. It's a common dealer hussle

I am pretty sure it's a dealer hustle and that is why I am asking who got N2 and who got regular air and if a charge was applied.

The air you breathe is almost 80% nitrogen. They are scamming you

My story is on the newbie forum. Bought 1794 in Fla; 850 miles away. I negotiated my truck with a out the door price. After my 2 day drive home is when I noticed the black caps and questioned the charge with the salesman. He talked to his Boss?? and said charge was not included but it was on the title paper work.

What is different about the "black caps"? My Tundra came with black caps on the valve stems...don't they all?

Sometimes a green cap indicates a nitrogen fill

If it has the N2 caps; it’s nitrogen. Black is air. I really don’t care what I have because I have had both and it really doesn’t matter. I just don’t like paying if I don’t have it.
