I just recently picked up my 2022 TRD Pro, and have around 300 miles on it. When I started the truck today, I noticed an error message "Hybrid System Malfunction". I drove around a couple miles and parked the truck. I shut it off, and tried to start it again, but everything is dead. No interior lights, no power locks, etc. Anyone have this issue before? Could it be a faulty car battery? (not the battery from hybrid powertrain)

With it being that new, as long as you haven't modded anything that could eff up electronics, I'd 100% take it to Toyota and tell them to give me a rental that worked for my needs and let me know when my truck was 100% again. Not worth troubleshooting when it's brand new. That's a dealer/manufacturer headache.

Haven't modded anything on it. Wasn't planning on trying to do anything myself. More so just frustrated that I'm already having an issue with a brand new truck. Was hoping to see if anyone had this issue before and how long it took the dealer to fix

Try charging the battery? (Not the hybrid battery)

A bum battery from factory isn’t unheard of.

Turns out tint installers who hose the front window down with that watery, install slurry liquid can eff with the electronics (the BCM, maybe? - I'm not exactly sure what's behind the dash that could be so susceptible to water intrusion) and it'll cause a temporary starting issue. It usually clears up after 24 hours once the electronics dry out. :notsure:

    22 TRD PRO wont start

Yeah most likely a faulty battery. My dad's '21 T4R did the same thing at 500 miles. Dealer sent out a tow truck and hauled it to the dealer while also dropping off a rental for him to drive in the mean time.
