Hello all and nice to meet you. First time poster here as currently I'm still in my Tacoma. With any luck I am planning on upgrading to a 2022 Tundra within the next few months. I had a few questions regarding the load leveling rear air suspension. Is this feature worth it for towing? I tow a boat for work ~120 days per year, but it is very light (easily less than 1k pounds) so that's pretty much a non-issue. I do have plans to start towing our new travel trailer which will be a bit more demanding obviously. The trailer is 26 feet and roughly 7k lbs gross. However I will only be towing said trailer less than a dozen days per year if I had to guess. I am looking at the SR5 with the rear air suspension and am wondering how beneficial this would be for towing. Would it help to substantially level out this heavy of a load in conjunction with a weight distributing hitch? Would I have to worry about the air bags wearing out prematurely and being expensive to fix at some point? I'm guessing it cannot be disengaged when not in use. Would I be better off skipping it for the few times a year that it would be helpful?
Thanks all in advance for the advice on this!

I thought it was for ride quality unloaded.

Since you are loaded a lot I would skip it. Should be smoother with a little load on it, which you will have.

It very well could be. I read the manual and it sounds like it might be more for slower speed/off-road type applications since it reverts to "neutral" over 18mph. Thanks!

I heard the air suspension ride is not that good when unloaded. It’s useful only for leveling the rear when a heavy trailer is installed. I wouldn’t recommend over a weight distribution hitch.
