I have a 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport. I have 1800 miles on it and was driving home from the campground where we have a camper permanently set up. About 2 miles from home an orange warning triangle came on and where the digital speedometer readout is displayed was a message the engine power lost, please see dealer.
    What could this possibly be?

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you may have the dreaded turbo waste gate failure. Search the forum here, there are plenty of threads that talk about this. Good luck.

Yeesh, it means you will probably be without your truck for a month soon. Sorry to hear.

I'm 63 years old and always had Chevy and GMC trucks with very little issues, I wanted a Toyota for it's longevity thinking it would be the last truck I would need.
Well to my surprise I'm being told from most people on the Toyota forums that it sounds like I have a waste gate issue with my turbos.
I may just get rid of it right away.

That would be a shame. Toyota makes some great vehicles. The bugs are getting sorted in this one.

GM had a stop sale due to defective lifters from the line. And even then, lifters are known to be problematic. The list of known GM problems is quite long, "bold" statement of you to make.

Not saying Toyota doesn't have some stuff to sort out, but the Big 3 ain't any better.

Best of luck with whatever you get to replace it with.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. First model year issues are normal with any make. Thing to have done is waited another year or buy a lightly used 2 or 2.5 gen but I guess it's too late for that now. Issues are one thing but combine that with supply problems and you're basically screwed. I know several people that are making payments on a brand new truck they can't drive. That said Toyota does make the most dependable longest lasting vehicle period. Hopefully they can get it worked out quickly OP and you'll be back on the road enjoying your Tundra.

Buying a new model of anything during Covid was a bad idea. Corners cut, exceptions made everywhere. Maybe this will be your only issue with it. Welcome.
