Hey guys, I am having a wobble issue on my truck. I bought a 2017 Bilstein TRD PRO suspension used and installed on my 2021 Tundra Trail 4*4. Ever since I upgraded my wheels/tires to TRD pro ones I have experienced a lot of wobbling. Initially the vehicle would wobble when I drove over 95 miles/hr but now I experience it even at 65 miles/hr. I got the wheel alignment done 3 times at the local toyota dealership and wheels balanced every time with alignment. Still get the same results after a 1-2 months. Today the wheel balancing guy said that there is a possibility that my wheels are not aligned right causing the wheels to go off balance and thereby the wobble. I am not mechanically savvy to really troubleshoot further without relying on google.

    • Do I need to buy a UCA so the alignment can be done correctly? I think I have like 2.5" of lift from the TRD pro suspension?
    • Are there are any mainstream alignment shops that really know what they are doing?

I prefer OEM parts over any after market, just to avoid hassle. Have been struggling to find a fix, as of now I get my wheels balanced once every 3 weeks just to get back on the road without wobble.

    Any advice will be appreciated.IMG_0550 2.jpg IMG_0551 2.jpg IMG_0552 2.jpg IMG_0552 2.jpg IMG_0553.jpg IMG_0554.jpg IMG_0555.jpg IMG_0556.jpg

I have the trd pro Bilstein's as well, with spacers. No alignment or shaking issues. So the help I can offer is that likely, the shocks shouldn't be causing an issue. I have the factory UCA and no issues over 180,000 miles.

My only guess could be that the lower bushings in the coil overs coil be bad and maybe causing some movement?

Good point. they did dismount and mount it back saying some bushing was missing. I will take it 4wheelparts who installed them and see if they can help figure out. Thank you for the suggestion.

You shouldn't need UCA to get correct alignment with those TRD pro bilstein. Even from the factory, they come with same UCA. Have you tried to rotate the tires? Move the rears to the front? Does it have the same wobble?

Yes, I did go through 1 tire-rotation during service, and also got wheel alignment done at the same time. More or less the same results. I do have another set of Trail edition rims with michelin AT2's on them which I use during off-road trips, my next step was to put those on to see if the issue is with wheel/tire or suspension/alignment.
