2021 SR5 Tundra Crewmax, only 5k miles, mint condition. Today my driver rear window quit rolling up. It would roll up, then go slow and stop moving all together shortly thereafter. Happened from both driver and rear door switch. If I shut the truck off, and restarted the engine, the window would move again. Sometimes it would go all the way up at normal speed, other times it would go slow and stop until the engine power was cycled again. Really weird, no problems ever before until today. Left truck for a couple hours and it was back to working normal on the drive home.

The window has had regular use the past three weeks as I've been carting around my dog. The only real difference I can think of is she likes to stick her head out the window while her paws are on the door panel ledge. Maybe her paw hit the down button on the window switch and held it there too long and it messed something up? Just a theory.

I disconnected the battery hoping to reset something. Thoughts?

I would start with the battery. My 2021 needed a new battery in fall of 2023. Load test it and see where it is. If it's original, my guess is it's going bad

Interesting, I missed that in your original post, my bad.

I'm not really sure then. I suppose my next step would be to pull the door panel off and check the connector for broken/misaligned pins.

I dont think that would be possible since the window has always worked fine and there wouldn't be any way for a pin to get physically broken or misaligned. I do think its something electronic.

Window worked normally all day today

Idk man. This is a weird one. Almost sounds like a short. Or the window motor on it's way out

Hopefully it turns out to be a fluke thing!

When my window blew out on my drivers rear door, I had some debris get stuck in the window channels. I used a plastic trim tool and gently went up and down the track to remove all the obstructions. Also, you can spray the track with a little bit of silicone lube and it'll help it go up and down faster.

Removing the door panel is really easy though, you can pop it off and look to see if there are any obstructions in the scissors also. If you see something, you'll have to pull the vapor barrier. It is extremely sticky and will ruin your clothes, so be careful.

Is there a relearn procedure for the drivers window? I know my Element had one in order for the auto feature to work.
