I have had a weird steady squeaking noise in my dash for a few days that would get worse when I pressed the gas lightly. Did a bunch of searching and found a fix.. turns out the cabin air filter cover in the back of the glove box wasnt secured all the way. Problem now solved.. figured I'd share for anyone with the same issue.

Edit: My truck made a liar out of me... still have the weird squeal behind the dash

I get a weird high pitched squeel/whine when the fan is on high in my '21. Wonder if its something similar.

Does the pitch change depending on fan speed?

Ha. My wife's 18 corolla dash squeaks every time we get in the car after searching and shoving padding everywhere I found the only fix is to punch the center of the dash near the windshield 2-4 times and it is quite until next startup...

With every Toyota I have owned, felt tape is my friend. A little bit added on some corners and the vehicle is quiet no matter the ambient temp.

I dont believe so. Likely related to the fan itself, but worth checking the filter anyway!

It doesn't seem dependent on the fan. Its present whether the fan is on and of. I do notice a slight change in pitch when I press lightly on the gas though

if it’s between 1700-2000rpm’s it’s most likely the mesh near the air intake tube. Do a search for high pitch squeal and you’ll find the east fix to cut out it out

    Hiya Gumby!
I had a similar noise by the cabin filter... There's a big wiring grommet at the firewall near there, I loosened the screws on the engine bay side a bit then sprayed silicone lube between the plate and firewall.

Katzkin Leather seats, JRI shocks, Rival aluminum skids, 285/70/17 outpost nat, Berger catch can, icon rear +.5 springs, gator trifold bed cover, Perry parts bump stops, switchback turn signals,
Try a thin strip of foam about 1/4-3/8 wide where the windshield meets the dash. Tuck it in so you can’t see it..

My 2021 Tundra is my 4th Toyota. Every one has rattle and other noise type issues, even my brand ne 900 mile Tundra. Disappointing, but I just live with it for the reliability. My 2006 4Runner (from the 4Runner golden years of Toyota, Gen 4) has 230,000 miles and is solid and mostly noise-free...better building methods and materials perhaps

Had a new squeaky sound on the passenger side dash of my 2018 start recently, made my husband do a lap around town with me and found it was the defrost vent and/or speaker cover on his side. Cant remember which.. Stopped when he pressed on it.
Didnt start until it got cold outside and goes away when the interior warms up. I turn my radio up until it warms up and stops..
Id complain loudly but my husband has about 20’ of double sided tape inside the dash of his first-gen to shut it the hell up..

Something in the dash on the passenger side of my 2016 DC started squeaking a couple months ago. Did a search to see if someone else is having the same problem. This thread is what I found. I can't handle squeaks and rattles. I go a little nutty. I've thought about selling this truck I now refer to often as a POS and going back to a 1st gen Tundra, but the kids fit much better in this one. I don't recall having squeaks and rattles in my last Tundra. I'll check my cabin air filter cover in case it is something simple but I doubt it. Its a pretty quiet squeak but very annoying, and it doesn't seem to matter if the truck is cold or warm. Some days there is no squeak but its getting more and more often. Doesn't seem to matter if someone pushes on the dash or not either. It sounds like its coming from way inside the dash. Anyone else have this problem and come up with a solution or maybe a link to anther thread discussing the problem?

    Thanks
