Call me obsessive but I've been googling non stop everyday about the 2020 Tundra. Used to own a 17 back in 17 and now I'm in the hunt again. Almost pulled the trigger on a 19 but decided to wait another month or two.

There's literally no info or leaks as to whats exactly new other than push button start/keyless entry and the updated entune with android auto. I'm hurting so bad to know which colors are going to be available on certain trims. Dying to spec my own but everything is so dry out there on info.

Who here has inside information? The best info I got from a salesman at Toyota was that they will be delivered mid August and their systems just got the 2020 Tundra listed on it.

LOL I am with you toyoboyo! I have been googling the same and keep seeing dated articles from February and such. I have been waiting for the 2020 models for the keyless fob, bigger screen and the android auto. I have a friend with the 2018 Tundra 1794 and he says the integration is something to be desired with google maps and such. I am really hoping android auto improves things. I sent out some emails to dealers and the bastards didn't even contact me back about the 2020s. I guess since I was specific with what I wanted and not interested until the 2020 arrive they are not going to spend any energy yet. I hope the delivery date of mid August is correct, because I am chomping at the bit to buy the 2020 Tundra Limited.

The 20 will be almost like the 19. The 21 is the one to wait for. You can all ways get the 20 if the 21 doesn't suit you for a lot less money then.

No waiting here. I'll keep this Tundy until it breaks down or I hand it down to my son, whichever happens first. I won't ever consider another Toyota full size truck again unless they ever decide to enter the Heavy Duty market.

I bought the 2019 because if the 2020 gives me a woody I can trade it in.
    I dont see that happening
One button wont matter to me all that much and if they put anything else in it I doubt I would use it.

maybe in 2023 when my wife divorces me I will get that one (if she is smart but 27 years and she is still stupid)

"Toyota doesn't say which of its cars will get these features, but we have a good idea based on the descriptions of them. Because the Automatic Park system is only available on cars with electronic shifters or parking brakes, that rules out older vehicles like the 4Runner and the Land Cruiser, which have old-school shifters, and cars such as the 86that still use manual parking brakes. The Auto Shut Off system is likely to be introduced on more models, but likely only ones that have push-button start."

Yeah if for some magical reason it appears, I would hope this can be disabled or configured to a desired setting.

If she divorces you, then you will not be able to afford a new model - even with the trade in :)

You asked what is auto stop?..."The stop/start feature is designed to minimize fuel consumption by automatically shutting off the engine when the car comes to a stop at a red light or in standstill traffic. When the driver takes his or her foot off the brake, the engine restarts almost instantaneously, and the car is again ready to be driven forward."

Can this feature be disabled? Yes if that is a standard feature that would be horrid, in my opinion. I have always been greatly annoyed by this feature when renting a vehicle with such.

I hope auto start/stop can be disabled. Everything about that cheap, gimmicky way to save fuel is harder on the truck/car.

I'm glad some are on board with me. I haven't read anything about auto start/stop. My 911 has this feature and it was extremely annoying at first but I've gotten used to it. It still gets on my nerves but luckily there's a button to disable it. If the Tundra has this feature it will surely improve MPG's but I'd want it off all the time. I'm sure there's a way to disable being a button/wire/fuse.

Still, the auto start/stop feature wouldn't be enough to sway me away. Android auto/google maps is huge for me. Google assistant is a game changer when you're commuting and need some info on the fly.

I'm just as interested in the color combos that will be available. I'm torn between the Platinum/TRD pro but the Limited and SR5 get better colors/combos.

You might be right, but at the moment I'm not too interested in the '21 with the new powerplant. I might change my mind but at the moment I'm in love with the 3rd gen and all it's flaws.

I thought I was the only obsessive one. I got rid of my '14 about a year and a half ago and regretted it almost immediately. I've been googling the 2020 Tundra on a daily basis too. I've been eyeing a '19 Platinum, but am really curious to see what changes will happen for '20. I know it's not going to be huge changes, but even if the pushbutton start incorporates remote start that will be a big deal for me. Starting that vehicle from 50 yards or so away when it's 110+ degrees helps. I'm taking a little vacation at the end of August and I had some extra time so I scheduled a stop in San Antonio to tour the Toyota plant where the Tundras are assembled. I feel like a kid getting to go to Disney!

I have been in contact with a nearby Toyota dealer, and this is what they are working on for me. There isn’t much information available.

Thanks for sharing that!!! So it's confirmed, 8 inch screen.. Possibly entune 3.0? 2 USB ports?

Were there any other colors available for the Platinum?

That would be epic... I have android auto/google maps in my 05 Sequoia through a Pioneer double din and it functions better than any other car out there that doesn't have android auto.

Your dealers paperwork already has bad info if it’s saying your Platinum is going to have halogen headlights and fogs.

I too am waiting to see what the new infotainment looks like and if there’s any other minor changes not already mentioned.

Yes thanks for the share. The inclusion of Android Auto and the bigger 8" screen is why I am waiting for the 2020. Was the dealer able to provide any information on push button start?

If you are getting a Tundra and care about screen size and CarPlay, just get a car. Tundras will never be up to date with technology. Get a tundra, save money, and keep it forever. This is coming from a guy who has 2 Audis, and a 19 Tundra. The tech isn't important, you just think it is.

To each their own. The bigger screen, keyless start and android auto is exactly why I am waiting for the 2020. I understand its not going to have the latest technology, but the three referenced items are worth the 2 month wait.

I'll keep my 16. No payments. No start stop, No low cubes and twin turbos, etc. My buddy gets a little bit better mileage in his ecoboom but he has to floor it all the time, the AC sucks when it shuts down, the starter and battery aren't beefy enough for all the start cycles, and it's in the shop more often than not.

Toyota has been producing variants of their V8 for years and in traditional Toyota fashion they continue to refine rather than replace. I'm glad their are some eager Toyota fans in the group.. I'll sit back and watch thanks...

When you reference the ecoboom, I assume he has a Ford? Yeah that auto start/stop, I hope Toyota never incorporates that into their Tundra line.

If they wont buy a new one till it is updated I am guessing it is pretty important.

If my Tundra didn't come with a stereo I wouldnt have bought it.

This was all the information I could get. I asked for 040 Super White, and this is what they sent me. I have not received an option list. I'll update you as soon as I receive them.

I noticed that too. I'm hoping that it is a generic "base" item. This paperwork looks out of order, and all over the place.
