I have a 2020 Tundra with 23000 miles. It just started to act up. Truck will turn over but will not start. It has the push button start system with a Fob. It will take several tries before it will start . This does not happen all the time.Battery has been replaced in the fob.Now I am at the point that I don't trust it. Does anybody have any ideas what might be wrong?

What is the tested condition of the vehicle battery?

Could be one of a 100 things. Almost impossible to diagnose over the forum, I would take it to the dealer.

Being a 2020, now is about the time the battery will take a crap. You probably need to replace the vehicle battery. They generally last 3-4 years.

I would definitely start with a thorough check of the vehicle battery. Have you tried the other fob? I got two with my 2020.

I will be trying the other fob it hasn't been used since new. Have put new battery in it for the test. Have been thinking about the truck battery also. just eliminating the simple things first. Dealership is an hour away.

If it’s not the battery - Is it a flex fuel truck? Do you have access to an OBD2 reader or Techstream?

It's probably your battery, which are known to be crap. The OEM battery in my '21 was only producing ~400 cold cranking amps (factory spec is 710) after 2 years + a few months.

Here is an update on my issue. Replaced the battery and it still started off and on until yesterday and then it wouldn't start at all, towed to the dealer and they found the fuel pump control module had shorted out.Good thing for extended warranty. Will pick up tomorrow.
