I picked up a 2020 Tundra in January. Love the truck, but it's lacking a line input on the stereo. Does anyone know if there is a converter that can convert an analog 3.5 mm plug to USB input on the radio? I've seen some converters that work on a computer, but not sure if they would work with the Toyota head unit.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have that Sabrent. Syba makes decent stereo sound adapter too.

I am looking to use the headphone output from an old ipod I still use. My previous truck had an input for this, but the new Tundra only has Bluetooth and USB inputs.

oh i gotcha. I used to run an old 30gb ipod in my tacoma. It had the wide lightning charger port (old school apple ones) and i just plugged the usb into the input and it was fine. Haven't tried it on my Tundra though.

Hmmm, I'll have to give that a shot. I might be going about this the hard way...definitely not the first time.

I have the same need for an aux input. Did the Sabrent adapter work in your 2020 tundra USB port?

It did not. I decided to get just with the times and move my music. Now use bluetooth or USB from the phone with no issues.

@kajones02 thanks for the update. From looking at the adapter I would have been surprised if it had worked. I was looking to route the audio from a DVD player through the stereo. I even had a Taotronics Bluetooth transmitter lying around but it won’t pair with the head unit. Sometimes technology just sucks!

I see in this thread some of you guys just threw in the towel, and just went with tech of the times which I get.

someone’s gotta have the factory streamlined fix/add on, no?
