Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone is experiencing this weird issue. Bought the truck new in 2020, and for the last year or so has a weird issue. Every time I wash it, it beeps. No im not joking, I told the dealer and of course they didnt believe me.
I dont hear it when I go through an automated car wash, but when I just wash it at home, I spray it with the hose, and when Im spraying anywhere in the front of the truck, meaning hood, front doors, front panels, etc.. it randomly gives long beeping sounds. After I stop spraying for a few seconds it stops, never happens on the back of the truck only the front, pretty crazy but I tested it dozens of times and it happens 90% of the time.

    Things to note :
The truck is off with no keys in it while im washing it.
I can be just spraying it off with water, no soap.

    thanks for any info

My 2020 has done this from time to time. I always believed it to be the door handles getting confused by the water assuming I'm touching them for the keyless entry.

    Function before sparkle.
Our Honda does the same. It’s locking and unlocking because of the proximity key. Totally normal.

on my 19 taco and 22 tundra, we have the option of press/hold lock + pushing unlock twice to deactivate the remote. if you do it correctly, the light will flash a few times. i always do this when i wash my vehicles so the hose wont lock the car whenever i spray the handles. when you're all done, just push the unlock button on your remote and it'll come back to life.

I take mine to the hand wash, nearly every time I run over the touch door handles
with a microfiber wash mitt -it locks and unlocks. And occasionally will do it with the spray wand.

When using a microfiber drying cloth, it will do it as well, occasionally. It’s annoying ….

not sure if in the settings you can adjust the sensitivity or not I’ve been too lazy to look

Since it is push button start, it is most likely the key fob in your pocket as you wash around the truck. Wife's Highlander is push button and will do the same unless she puts the key away from car. Distance and separation will prevent the constant locking and unlocking
