Bakflip, Bedstep, Gulfstate stuff

In front of my radiator/AC is an external fluid cooler but I'm not sure for what. Do any of you guys now what it's cooling? The plumbing runs into the frame rails so I haven't followed it back myself. I thought someone here may already know.
